Dornoch Fibre Fest

Fibre Fest 2025  -  15th - 16th March

As an other Fibre Fest closes for the year we were thrilled by the positive response from participants, buyers and sellers alike.

2025 Dornoch Fibre Fest  offered a two day Masterclass, with Chrissie Ryder, showing how to create a stained glass' appliqué picture. Plus another one day appliqué class, Dorset Buttons, Peg Loom, Fair Isle knitting, Short Row knitting, Needle Punch, Wet Felting and Embroidery techniques.

We hope that our range of classes inspired and delighted in equal measure.

Jane Bissett was our speaker on Friday 14th  relating, in her inimitable style, tales of the art of Shepherding in Glamorgan.

There were two Trading Halls  with free entry to both offering a wirde range of textiles and accessories.

The  Historylinks Museum in Dornoch displayed some of the newly-commissioned  Spirit of the Highlands & Islands Tapestry panels designed by renowned artist Andrew Crummy. The Museum also provided us with additional space to offer more classes and hosted an exhibition of beautiful historical costumes.

The Highland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers demonstrated in the Hub building over the weekend. Their members  happy to share their knowledge and invited people to try their hand.
